The design concept for the Mahjong table took inspiration from mahjong tile carving art, which is of ‘Characters, Bamboo, Circles.’ For designers, it is not only a symbol but also represents the core ethic and traditional aesthetic of the Chinese culture – ‘harmony in diversity.’
This project has also displayed at the Harbor City, Hong Kong Convention and Exhibition Centre, and Guangzhou International Convention and Exhibition Centre.
Mahjong table can bring people together. It has all the mahjong elements and represents the fun and beauty of traditional Cantonese Culture, as well as proof of happy memories.
The culture of Mahjong has been embedded in every Canton’s culture. For Cantonese, Mahjong meant more than a game but relationship bonding and passing on a legacy.
